L'immersion artistique, partagé par Françoise ALBERGE

Art Plunge is an experience that reimagines classic paintings as virtual environments. It starts off in a simple corridor of paintings on the Moon. Your first instinct may be that this is the gist of the app, that you got cheated out of a few bucks to look at pictures that you could have easily seen in Google Photos for free. One tap on a painting dissolves that doubt, as well as the painting itself. This reveals an entire animated scene that takes the flat image and constructs a world based on its particular art style. The transformation of the paintings into VR is masterful. The art team was able to create an environment that was merely implied in the source material, and the animation brings the scene to life. There's also a distinct lack of aliasing, giving a solid feel to the world. Another detail that excites me is the audio. It complements the visuals, and the spatial audio significantly enhances the immersion when you can hear a water fountain to your left.
